Description
The album reportedly displays the band's recent growth while not straying too far from the sound of their debut album, last year's My Father and the Hunter. It was recorded in Washington state at Bear Creek Studio with producer Ryan Hadlock (the Lumineers, Islands, Metric). A press release notes, "It seemed a natural progression for the band, whose dark lyrics about death and solitude crop up amongst beautiful lyrical mindscapes of trees and lakes and home."

This album is absolutely awesome! I came across this band on YouTube when I saw a video of a song ("We All Know") from their 2016 album, Home. My daughter got me "Home" for my birthday, and I needed to hear more. The band has a Lumineer's and Mumford and Sons' feel, but a more upbeat and happier sound."Home" has a little different sound than "We Still Move On Dance Floors." The band's earlier albums are Christian. Then they made two Country albums. "We Still Move On Dance Floors" is under Folk-Rock" and "Home" is listed as Alternative. Both are amazing though. They are a six-piece band, and I love how they mix the violin into their songs. There are nine songs on "We Still Move On Dance Floors." The first five are amazing, and I enjoy all of them. If you enjoy this, get "Home" too. You will not be disappointed. Going to see this band tonight at a small venue in Syracuse, NY. Hope it's awesome!Update: Saw them in Syracuse last week for $5 because they were supporting other local-Syracuse bands who played before them. They were amazing. It was a small venue and the crowd was filled w/ fans which made it awesome. Because of the small venue, they came in front of the microphones, unplugged the guitar and played "Fire" w/ just a guitar, violin and their voices. Intimate and awesome. My new fav band!! They are a love at first listen type of band.
