The product works. My pool did not test for metals. Leslie’s told me not all metals however show in a test. I had already spent a fortune on Algaecide. I tried this. You need to have no and I mean NO chlorine in the pool to use this. But that chemical, then use this. Run the pool for a week with it in, add some more every week. Sparkling pool! Why I stress a week—First time I waited used this I deleted chlorine, and added this. Pool went to clear, I only waited 48 hours. Added chlorine and immediately got a lesser vibrant green than before. I did the process again, waited a week and the pool stayed clear.I actually start the pool and add water with the winter cover on. I add metal free and run the pool for a week with the cover on. I then remove the cover and do the ph, and TA, then add the chlorine —-works like a charm. Note I use the BBB method with a saltwater pool. Way cheaper, the Borax adds such a sparkle!Look up the BBB method. It costs me with the metal free $30 for chemicals per year for a 24 round pool. I used to spend near $1000 for a 21 round
