This one was so good!! Especially after the last book featuring golf & a kidnapping! That one was not so good, so I was happily surprised that this one was sooo much better. There is something so personal about this book. The relationship with the missing father. The developing relationship with the daughter, Brenda. Even the evolution of Myron's friendship with Esperanza. Add to that a good mystery with lots of twists and some pretty bad guys and it's a winner!************SPOILERS******************************** I MEAN REALLY BIG SPOILERS****************Okay, not sure how many people read these reviews but just have to ask anyone who has read this book already....If Aurthur B. was so obsessed with Brenda's mother for all those years, going so far as to place taps on people's phones etc.Why didn't Chance just tell his brother from the beginning that Anita was dead??Chance didn't kill her, he just found her dead at the hotel.So why not just tell his brother that she was dead and that someone had murdered her??Why let him obsess over finding her for all those years??That was the only thing I didn't get.Why not just tell Arthur they found her dead and then let him grieve and move on?He could have still quietly funneled money to Brenda thru scholarships etc. At least he could have moved on.Open to any comments re: this puzzle.Otherwise great book!
