Jog Man features a man in the middle of his jog, wearing a cap and a running suite. His body is painted in Gerstrein’s famous style which conveys motion and speed. The base of the sculpture is in green and suggests the jog is taking place outdoors on a green field or somewhere in nature. The piece is a free standing double sided print on a metal cutout, on one side wearing a red shirt and yellow pants and on the other side, a yellowish shirt and blue pants. The lines on the back side of the jogger emphasize the speed in which he is running. Sports has always been a key part of Gerstein’s work, as part of his fascination with movement and speed and his talent for capturing it in his sculptures and paintings.
