I rarely write reviews but wanted to say that I appreciate the quality of this product. When I first got my guineas I bought this because I didn't have anything else and it seemed good quality from the ingredients and they liked it. When I ran out. I went to a local farm store and bought the Oxbow brand. Big mistake. My guineas like the Oxbow brand but it is filled with fillers that just runs through them. I noticed they poop way to much and drink water a lot more which makes me have to clean their cages more. Also the Oxbow brand has sugar in it which I didn't like when I read the ingredients and should've just put the bag back. But wanted to give it a try. Ordering my 2nd bag of Selective. I think I'll just stick with it.Our Guinea pigs love this. Made the (gradual) switch a year ago anf haven't looked back. Amazon is the only place that always has it in stock!This is the only food my piggies will eat they love it.This is my second order. Here are pros and consPros- Guinea pig loves it(chirps everytime and chows down)-one bag lasts me for a month if not more-good price for the sizeCons- my guinea pig is getting a tad chunky off of it. I will be feeding him less of this and more veggies-amount is inconsistent. My last bag was almost full and this second one is only half way filledI liked the idea of this guinea pig food but unfortunately my guinea pig did not like it. He refused to eat it.My guinea pigs LOVE THIS!! It’s the first dried food I’ve ever seen any of my guineas actually finish eating, they can’t get enough! I also love that the ingredients are so much better than any other product I’ve used. Thank you for making this and it’s the only kind I’ll ever give them, along the stick treats you offer as well!My two guinea pigs LOVE this so much! They have never eaten pellets like this before. The only thing I am worried about is them getting too fat because they love them so much ?I had been buying a different kind of food for my piggies & the last bag I bought smelled funny & they wouldn't eat it so had to find something else. Gave this food a try & they started eating it while I was pouring it into their bowl! Have bought my second bag & so far, so good. They still love it & are enjoying it. This 3# bag lasts my 2 piggies about 1.5 months. They also get veggies & hay to supplement this food.
