These so need to be broken in, they will run a blister on an ankle but that should be expected in new shoes such as these so plan for that and wear for a bit before a longer water adventure. But they are super flexible, light and keep everything out except super fine sand. Great summer shoes for adventurous kids!This has been a great shoe for exploring rivers this summer! They are light weight and comfortable for walking, swimming and exploring the waters edge. Unlike many water shoes, these keep the pebbles out and fully protect the toes. To that end, there is more material to the shoe, and so no surprise they take a time to dry. Even so, they dry much more quickly than soaked sneakers!If worn with socks they are comfortable for daily wear also. The elastic at the ankle is a little scratchy and gave my kid a blister when worn hiking without socks.I ordered a 2.5 and it fits well. For my kid a 3 is slightly too roomy and 2.5 is slightly too tight. Sizing down was perfect for us, as the elastic at the ankle has some give.My son found them uncomfortable because the heel is weird. Had to return them. Shame because they're cool looking and just the style wet were looking for.Perfect for active kids that love to play and get wet during an easy hikeI don't think, this is original merrell, i used merrell all the time, but this time the quality is not good, and the size is also smallBut they are washable, that's nice.
