Years ago I tried Egoscue using his first book but didn't have any luck. After that I tried the videotapes but it was the same story, no progress. After that I thought I'd try personal instruction but after a good number of sessions I didn't have any thing good to say about it. It did hurt me a little temporarily,my knees or my sacrum, but there was no progress, so I just gave up. Now years later I took a look at the Pain Free book again and was amazed at how different things seemed. I had made the mistakes of not establishing a proper base to evaluate my progress, and I misunderstood the focus on the knees, thinking that actually the feet were meant. Now I see it in a new light. When I did the air bench for the first time in many years, I was surprised with the excellent result . Then I thought I'd get the new book thinking It was similar to Pain Free, but it's completely different! it's as if he's indulging himself in all sorts of psychological and spiritual reflections, with only a few exercises. I was so disgusted after a few pages that I just stopped reading. Then I looked further on in the book saw there were some exercises, selected because of your psychological type. Anyway it's not for me,that's for sure.
