This book opens up a view of church history and world history to inspire the reader to see God's working behind the scenes throughout human history and the reasons for His arrangement of so many major events. Some events which logically should have turned out differently were altered by something like a change in the weather. Also, I was inspired to see God's preparing the Roman Empire to be the right situation for Christ to come, to fulfill all the prophesies in the Old Testament and to eventually have the best situation for the spreading of the gospel.
