I was beginning to think that somehow, we just didn't have mosquitos in our backyard this year. Then I went out this morning without this stuff on, got bitten up, and realized that this is just 50,000 x better than any bug repellent I've ever used. Apparently, this stuff makes you so repulsive to mosquitos that you won't even see them around you. They'll stay fifty yards away, because you'll just be that disgusting to them. The only complaint I have is that the bottle is a little difficult to use. It's thick and doesn't spray very well, and you have to kind of spray it in one spot and then spread it around. It would probably be better as a lotion instead of a spray, since that's how you have to use it anyway. (It's effectiveness almost entirely makes up for that one flaw, though.) It does smell very strongly of citronella, which I don't mind, especially since the mosquitos do!Bought this stuff a while back and I absolutely love it. Living in Florida with thousands of mosquitos is unbearable sometimes, and this stuff keeps them at bay without covering ourselves with burning and stinging chemically spray that gets in your mouth and makes you cough. You spray a few squirts onto your arms and legs, and then have to rub it in with your hands. This is more of a liquidy-lotion type product, rather than a thin can style spray - which I prefer, because you have way more control. No more holding your breath and closing your eyes while you blindly spray yourself with one of those cans of "Off!" and then run away from the fume cloud to catch a fresh breath. It is highly scented, so be aware of that. Smells mostly like lemongrass and citronella (which of course, are some of the main ingredients). I have very sensitive skin and this hasn't given me any issues. It does/can attract honeybees, but they'll just come up to you and realize you're not a flower and fly away. (Just let them be, don't swat at them! They're quite friendly).I recommend reapplying after a while, especially if you've been sweating. But if you do that you won't have any issues. If a mosquito is really desperate/already in the area, it may land on you - but if you wear it from the start it definitely helps and keeps them away. Other flying bugs as well avoid the scent (including no-see-ums / Ceratopogonidae).Overall, great value for the price! Comes in a nice big bottle, I've still got plenty left.Hope this review is helpful!Ok, maybe I just did not apply enough the night prior and got bit by those little monsters. Today was a different story. This shielded my skin as advertised. What more can you want? We have 4 dogs and a ton of ticks this time of year. Yeah, I got the tick powder for carpets and tick treatment for pets. But yet a few of those little monsters always seem to slip through all that. So, this is the backup plan for that. (Update) As my Tick "season" draws to close. Finally. This was #1 in keeping from being bitten a lot by them. It also worked in spraying it on my hairbrush as well. To monitor your tick issue, just get a brightly (white/light tan, etc..) colored basin and put it on the floor. Put a little bleach in there and leave it there for a day or two. They'll jump into to it. Letting you know.I have been using this for a few years.I get a rash from OFF and other bug sprays, not to mention the horrible smell of them. This pretty much smells like strong essential oils, because that's what it is.I work on a farm and herbal armor keeps away the biting flies, horse flies and mosquitoes very well...far superior to any other natural product I've used.I've been using a different brand but the price has gotten so high that I had to look elsewhere. We have long given up the usual DEET formulas. I don't like the chemicals and they just don't work. The scent for this product reminds me of herbals and we find that for us and our dog, herbal based formulas just work better. If you're going to be in water or sweating a lot then bring the bottle with you and reapply. But for our daily trips to the dog park in the woods, this works just fine. Did mention we live in the deer tick and Lyme disease capital of the US? Definitely try this one. We are happy with it.Lately I've been walking around in shorts on my property and somehow somewhere I'm ending up with itchy red welts that are obviously some type of insect bite that I'm not noticing. I bought this natural insect repellent, I didn't want to cover myself in chemicals, it smells like eucalyptus and lemon grass; it's not bad it's, not good but I slather that on before I go walking and I haven't gotten one single bite. There is not an insect in town that's going to go near me. It solved all of my problems. I highly recommend this product as a natural insect repellent. The past few years mosquitoes have been oppressive in Southern California. I got this out of desperation and it works! I can do evening gardening without being eaten up! Love how it smells too. Great product.I've been using it for a month. I work outside and my work has a creek in the back. Mosquitos have a field day with my coworkers and I. I've been trying other organic bug sprays and while they were effective, there endurance throughout the day don't last as long as this keeper. Through an 8-hour work shift I only need to apply it once. Just my experience. 'Nuff said. This product is useless , buying this is like throwing your money in the bin. I was traveling to Africa and purchased this for my 4 years old but it doesn't work at all. Applying it 4 X a day and he's being bitten . I'm very disappointedI have used this for several years now, and it works - I don't get bit when I use this mosquito repellant. Good job too as I seem to be allergic to the chemicals that mosquitos leave behind. It's all natural and doesn't irritate my skin when using. No need for nasty feet spray. Be warned- very strong citronella smell (which we didn’t mind), mild burning sensation although brief when applied to faceSmells good and works great, zero deet but kept the Mozambique mosquitos and tsetse flies away, been using it for 18yrs and always pleased with the effects.Plastic cap was missing from bottle so won’t be able to use as it will leak in my bag on our travels. I would like a refund please.
